Michael Crichton

Michael Crichton passed away today. He wrote such books as Jurassic Park, Congo, and Disclosure, as well as created the television series ER.

I never read any of his books, though I saw his movies. T-Rex. Killer gorillas. Demi Moore looking hot. Those are the images that come to mind.

The reason I'm writing this is that he was a critic of environmentalism, which means he had a strong conservative streak. He even earned the scorn of Al Gore. Now that's a man who should be honored (not Gore, but someone Gore scorns).
