Moving the Piano Upstairs
At church this morning, someone told me a story about how he first started coming to our church. He said that when he moved to the area, the pastor at that time introduced himself and offered to help the guy move in. “Sure”, the guy replied, since he could use all the help he could get! This guy was raised a Catholic, and he hadn’t been to church for a long time. But he was impressed with the pastor helping him out. “I mean, I never saw a Catholic priest move someone’s piano up the stairs!”, he said. Maybe some Catholic priests have done that! In any case, it’s refreshing when a pastor, or a person in general, tries to be a servant.
