“…I think some people get so caught up in the idea that you shouldn’t believe anything you can’t ‘prove.’ So that’s why they are opposed to faith. What they fail to realize is that most of what we believe is based at least in part on faith, because we really know so little about the universe, our own minds and lives, why we are here, where we are going, and what the heck it’s all really supposed to be for. So my advice to people who are struggling with issues of faith is simply this: believe what lifts you up, and if it’s just a bunch of mythology, who really knows anyway… we’ll never know in this lifetime… so who cares. Believe what inspires you to love life, to be awed by it, to dream big dreams, to love yourself, to love other people and treat them well, and to hope in the promise of a better world tomorrow. And in the final analysis, that’s what really matters.”
