I have two article on Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul to share. Both contain information about his voting record, and both come from a rather progressive political orientation. One is anti-Ron Paul, and the other is pro-Ron Paul.
The first article is from Addicting Info, and it is entitled 10 Reasons Not to Vote for Ron Paul.
The second article is by a friend of mine, Zachary Sneddon, and it is entitled Yellow Journalism at Its Worst. This is the best pro-Ron Paul article that I have ever read, and it is a high-quality political piece period, on account of the extensive research and documentation that Zach has done. What I appreciate most about this article is that it shows that Ron Paul has not just sought to roll back government, but he has fought for the people as well. Ron Paul voted to require the Secretary of Health and Human Services to negotiate lower drug prices for seniors in Medicare Part D, which was sponsored and co-sponsored by many Democrats. He voted to lower interest rates on student loans. He voted for a Patients’ Bill of Rights. While I am not entirely comfortable with libertarianism, I have to give Ron Paul credit for standing with people who struggle in life against special interests.
In my opinion, reading both articles can give one a rounded perspective on Ron Paul’s record.
