We had our Mother’s Day service at church this morning. I appreciated
my pastor’s point that, in a world that is often a cold and lonely
place, it’s good if we have a mother who cares for us. I find that to
be true in my own life. In the outside world, I’m liked if I’m
brilliant or witty or meeting people’s expectations. But I don’t have
to earn my Mom’s love, for I already have it.
