Ordinarily at my church, someone from a charity comes to speak to us once a month. We haven’t had this for quite a few months, but we did today. A woman was telling us about hospice, in which a chaplain ministers to a dying person’s spiritual needs. I thought about what my spiritual needs would be if I were dying. I’d probably be happy to talk with someone and to receive inspiration. But I wouldn’t want a chaplain who would shove conservative Christianity down my throat.
