John Trumbull's Painting

I'm trying to get the hang of posting pictures. I got this from wikipedia, and it's in the public domain. It's John Trumbull's painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In the miniseries, John Adams, John Adams tells Trumbull that the painting is inaccurate, for the signers weren't all in one room signing the Declaration. Rather, they were scurrying in and out, signing it at their own convenience. Trumbull replies that the picture is symbolic, not literally true, but John Adams is not appeased.
